Welcome to my page. These Earbuds and IEM Ear Hooks have been added to my website and have really taken off since launch. They are both a 2024 design with the latest tech, including a Zero Latency experience with the more expensive IEM Ear Hooks. IEM is short for 'In Ear Monitor', which is a detachable earbud design that works both wired and wirelessly.
The Earbuds are a new design with a clear case, showing off the circuitry and workmanship. Have a look at the image below to get a better idea. They also share a familiar earbud design, quite similar to some popular brands on the market. We will discuss the Earbuds then move onto the IEM Ear Hooks further down the page.
The Earbuds cost £40 and the IEM Ear Hooks are £80 respectively. Payment links are beneath each description.
The Earbuds have a mini ear stalk and look quite similar to the CMF Buds and some Apple variants from over the years. I keep the case in my pocket when out and about, it never feels bulky or gets in my way.
On the 18th September 2024 I travelled from London to Bonn without having to charge the case at all. Whenever I travel I sleep with them in and haven't ever ran out of battery during long journeys.

I am a real fan of new technology with a clear design; similar to the Nothing Phone 1 that I use. Modern tech has gotten really visual in recent years, and manufacturers are now brave enough to let the competition see the individual components being used.
They offer the same great battery life or between 6-8 hours before needing a recharge. The acoustics of these are so good that I use them whenever I head outside either for work or when exercising along the beach. I also use them as a reference after creating a new piece of instrumental music (see the Studio tab).

The Earbuds when compared to the Earhooks will drop to somewhere between 40-50ms of latency which is okay for gaming but will cause a noticeable delay when trying to do something like music production. The lower priced Earbuds do not have the zero latency feature that the Earbooks have. This is reflected in the cost of each item.
The audio quality blows my mind and I struggle when comparing them to my expensive IEM's with a cable connection. Despite the latency discrepancy I am however able to edit videos on my the Nothing Phone 1.

That was my description for the Earbuds so lets move onto the Zero Latency IEM Ear Hooks. The first image below will show you what they look like in the box, and they will close comfortably with any Type C connection IEM's.
In the image above are a set of entry level IEM's. IEM is short for In Ear Monitor. These are the earbuds supplied with the zero latency IEM Earhooks; image below.
The Ear Hooks are just like the Earbuds but with a twist. They break all rules regarding bluetooth wireless audio - made possible by the modern Qualcomm QCC5171 processor. You can stream music from any bluetooth 5.3 device at up to 384 KHz and 24 Bit rate. Surpassing that of a Compact Disc which plays 44.1 KHz and 16 Bit.
I have never used them long enough to drain the battery completely, not to mention the 6 hour quoted battery life that lasted continously during an 8 hour journey. I checked the battery level after arriving in London and they had around 30-35% remaining after a flight from Saudi Arabia to London Heathrow in May 2024.
The Ear Hooks have the latest technology, surpassing all current leading mobile phone manufacturers. The microphone is so good I can record a YouTube video and pick up the sound from my speakers in full quality. Also the active noise cancellation completely removed air conditioner noises when filming content in Dubai.
If you are somebody who enjoys quality audio on the go, and are looking to upgrade from a cable connection, these are the Ear Hooks you really need. Wired IEM's are great and I still use them in wired mode especially when relaxing on the sofa at home.
These Ear Hooks are currently connected to my computer for music production and also to my AR Glasses for watching movies. You have the ability to connect both the Ear Hooks and Earbuds to two devices so you never miss a phone call while working on a computer for example.
The sound codec transmitted is provided by selecting one of the following options in your phone. You may have to enable developer mode to adjust these; CD Lossless and and high end resolution audio - LEA Audio - Kalimba Audio DSP's - Dual 240 MHz Qualcomm - aptX Adaptive - aptX HD Audio - aptX - SBC - AAC.
All above options are available and in standard mode they automatically run on aptX Adaptive which is the latest and best codec technology for bluetooth. Products such as Apple have the ability to run the AAC codec only, which is why I recommend the lower priced Earbuds to all Apple customers. This is still 16Bit 44.1KHz which is identical to CD quality. I use the same Earbuds with my phone when travelling and they are great.
