When I got the 'go ahead' to take this car for a drive, I grabbed my keys and THRASHED my little naturally aspirated Beetle to Milton Keynes faster than General Levy on his way to Nandos!
Nissan GTR... This is the Knight-Racer Ltd edition, with plenty engine mods/parts/styling with contribution from Severnvalley Motorsport, Ben Linney, and Knight Racer combined. I'm not sure if you've looked at the first (main) image, but all I can smell is CARBON!!!!! It is EVERYWHERE!!! Its EVERYWHERE!!!! Visual yumminess... Trouser twitchingly beautiful (if metal can be loved).. OH SWEET GOD!!!!! -> Anyway.. I'm sure if you were told to ditch your girlfriend (gayfriend) to have this car for a month you wouldn't say no? Yesterday somebody asked me to remap VW Passat I shouted ''not now I am driving a GTR'' and threw my handsfree earpiece in the passenger footwell. I am not available when 'exploiting' full throttle in a Sports Car. And yes... I made full use of the beast... A Tank of Tesco Momentum started the day. I didn't rub my hands together - I snatched the keys like a reckless teenager and stepped 'carefully' over the Carbon Skirts... easing my spindly frame in the cockpit! Fires ignition.. and I know this sounds bad, but this thing was in 'D' before it had even finished turning over I was like BYE!!. Though after a few roundabouts - and Milton Keynes is full of them - I finally found some space to open 2nd 3rd and 4th gear... It is definitely a fast car. There is no doubt in that. When you stomp on the gas you need arms like Albert (the vehicle's owner) to control the madness that EXPLODES from this car... it is a serious machine, and you have to respect it. Sadly though, I can't feel the grunty torque and the only reason I can think is due to it being 4WD. Very very fast, but I am a RWD boy through and through.. I could definitely own this as a second car. The overwhelming sensation of Carbon Fibre has messed with my central nervous system. When the rear tyres light up in 3rd gear I'm saying ''nahh'' and the engine cannot hear my screams! It has already begun to release the tension from being sat at the last set of traffic lights. This car is CRAZY, but nothing has matched the exhilaration of the Lamborghini Aventador and Lamborghini Huracan since being in those. Nicholas Lawrence //ON CARS |
